Travel and Transport Guidance

Understanding Public Transport in the UK

Learning how to travel around the UK helps students attend classes, explore their surroundings and manage everyday activities independently.

Our support includes:

• Understanding local buses, trains, underground services and trams.
• Learning how to use journey-planning applications.
• Exploring student travel discounts and concessionary options where eligible.
• Understanding contactless payments, travel cards and ticketing systems.
• Planning safe and reliable journeys to university and accommodation.
• Learning about late-night travel and personal safety.

Our aim: To help students travel confidently, plan journeys effectively and understand the transport options available in their local area.
